Don't Worry about wiring your flagpole. This 100 LUX solar light mounts on top of your flagpole. Just pass the threaded 1/2 rod from your flagpole ball through the hole in the base of the LED based solar flagpole down light. The three rechargeable batteries that are included get charged via a solar panel on top of the unit. Great for flagpoles up to 25 feet tall where running electricity is too difficult.
