- Oregon Governor Kitzhaber has ordered all United States flags at Oregon Department of Transportation facilities state wide lowered to half staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, August 22, 2014 in honor of Don Kendall. Mr. Kendall was killed in the line of duty on a project in Echo, Oregon on July 22, 2014. This order only applies to ODOT facilities; no other agencies are affected.
